With over 200 BBC broadcast programmes and over 25 years' experience moderating conferences across science, engineering and innovation, Angela Lamont has worked with many of the organisations that make up our Big Science community as well as having been part of the Big Science Business Forum since its very first edition in Copenhagen in 2018. Topics she covers regularly include space, AI, cyber security, fusion energy, engineering and innovation, to name just a few.

Angela believes conferences aren't just about great speakers (and BSBF always offers an array of thought provoking speakers!). They're about airing the essential content that helps people to make connections, discover new opportunities and leave with everything they need to move forward. Throughout BSBF, Angela’s focus is on making sure delegates leave each session with ideas they can use, people they want to meet and a clearer understanding of the opportunities ahead by getting your questions answered, joining the dots between conversations and making complex discussions engaging, accessible and relevant.

The remarkable projects showcased at BSBF rely on collaboration between organisations with very different expertise, and creating the opportunities to help those conversations flourish. So Angela is looking forward to seeing old friends, welcoming new faces into the community and helping make BSBF 2026 in Maastricht an inspiring event to create conversations, connections and ideas that will still be making a difference long after everyone has gone home.
